Love Nibbles and Functional Martial Arts

125459910_182706373445044_3930452853913452118_nWe take a step away from firearms as our main focus and talk about empty-handed and edged-weapon skills with Jacques Wagner, owner and lead coach at Crazy Monkey Centurion.

Jacques has blackbelts in multiple martial arts and has been a fulltime coach for more that 20 years. His studio is specifically for defensive training that is proven to work in the real world.

We discuss the differences between functional and non-functional arts. The benefits of participating in regular structured training, not just from a performance point of view in a fight but also the benefits it has for self confidence.

Becoming a “multitool” that is able to use the correct skillset for the issues you face and not always going directly to the most force available (firearm) to most of us.

Jacques has punched Gaz in the face, broken BigT multiple times (there’s photo evidence) and choked and nibbled Corn. He is intimately familiar with the #WTTGS crew.
